In cooperation with the "Institut für Management- und Wirtschaftsforschung" (Institute for Management and Economic Research), the magazine FOCUS has investigated the quality of training in the 20,000 companies with the most employees in Germany. JUMO GmbH & Co. KG achieved first place in the "Measurement Technology" sector and was one of 1,001 companies to receive the "Germany's Best Training Companies" seal.
For JUMO shareholder and managing director Bernhard Juchheim, the award is the best proof that the company's commitment to young people is worthwhile: "The topic of training has been a matter close to JUMO's heart for over 70 years. Not only does it improve our competitive position - as a family business, we also see every activity in this area as a measure to strengthen the entire region."
Human Resources Manager Alexandra Dantmann explains why training at JUMO is something special: "Under the motto 'More than education', we don't just want to impart technical skills. Our goal is to train people who take responsibility, show moral courage and social commitment, and identify with the company." Currently, 76 junior employees are completing training at JUMO in ten different apprenticeships.
For the FOCUS ranking, structural company data, the training quota, training success, or training remuneration, among other things, were examined. A survey and the evaluation of online news and social media sources served as the basis.
The overall assessment was made on a scale of 1 to 100. JUMO achieved the full score as a benchmark company in the measurement technology sector, placing it at the top of eight companies examined. JUMO has already been able to boast top placements in this ranking in previous years.
