Webinar and Industry Furnace Day (German language)

AMS2750 and CQI-9 – a must in heat treatment

That car accidents and plane crashes can be traced back to material defects is something you rarely hear about. This is because the leading manufacturers know that metals obtain many of their important properties, such as hardness or toughness, through targeted and sophisticated heat treatment. To ensure this, aircraft and automotive manufacturers have jointly drawn up appropriate regulations for their suppliers. Today, suppliers and service providers are also members of the industry associations.

Accordingly, the Aerospace Material Specification (AMS) guidelines in aviation and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) in the automotive industry are absolute standards. Heat treatment is regulated in AMS2750 and CQI-9, which is why they are both a MUST for all suppliers in these industries.

Since the 4th edition of the CQI-9 guideline, there is another MUST, namely only certified service providers are allowed for calibration. This may mean that you need a new calibration service. Apart from the fact that JUMO has this certification, you benefit from decades of experience from temperature measurement, control and calibration. We shared this knowledge with you in the webinar and showed how we can help you with the 4th edition of CQI-9.

Your personal contact

Christoph Bollgen

Christoph Bollgen has been market segment manager for industrial furnace construction at JUMO in Fulda, Germany since April 2017. Prior, he gained a lot of practical experience as a service technician for burners and built up a great deal of know-how. The practical experience was the ideal complement to the master's degree program in industrial engineering at the University of Texas Arlington. Before moving to the headquarters in Fulda, he first applied his knowledge as an applications engineer at JUMO Process Control in Syracuse, NY. Here, Christoph Bollgen was also able to expand his experience in the support and implementation of projects. In the webinar and at the industry furnace day, he will share his knowledge of the AMS2750 and CQI-9 guidelines. Also, he is looking forward to exchange ideas with you.
