New sensor with pinhole diaphragm for processes with a particularly high solids content

JUMO Expands pH and Redox Sensor Family

The new JUMO tecLine HD sensor family for the measurands pH, pH and temperature, and redox potential has been expanded to include additional design variants.

The sensors in this series are designed for tough measuring conditions in which the sensors are subject to increased wear. Following the series with ring-shaped, dirt-resistant PTFE diaphragms, the new variants feature a pinhole diaphragm. In the previous variants, an extensive PTFE ring diaphragm with an optimized structure ensured a quick response time, while simultaneously being largely impervious to greater pollution loads or oily/fatty process water and wastewater.

Alternatively, the latest variant with a pinhole diaphragm provides the ideal solution for processes with a very high solids content, such as wastewater with sand particles, suspensions, and precipitation/crystallization reactions. The typical area of application for the sensors is therefore in the process industry.

All the sensors in the tecLine HD series are systematically designed to withstand extreme process conditions, such as high temperatures up to 110 °C (PTFE ring diaphragm) or 135 °C (pinhole diaphragm) and pressures of up to 13 bar during the process.
By expanding the JUMO tecLine HD electrode family, the Fulda-based manufacturer of measurement, control, and automation technology is responding to specific user requirements. Analytical measurement plays an increasingly important role for JUMO. Electrochemical sensors for measurands such as pH value and redox potential have become a major pillar for the company with high double-digit growth rates.
